FREE American Sign Language (ASL) Classes

In-person & Virtual options

​ In-person Beginning and Intermediate classes will occur at the Northeast Neighborhood Library (330 7th St. NE) on Saturday mornings. Feb 18-May 27.

Virtual classes will be held via Zoom on Mondays at 12 p.m. (Beginning Level) and Thursdays at 7 p.m. (Intermediate Level). Mar 2-May 18

The theme of this year’s conference will be “Unwrapping Uncertainties: U.S.-China Relations in A Less Flat World”. We have invited experts in the business, education, politics, news, environmental sciences and international relations arenas to speak on various recent US-China related topics. It is an amazing opportunity for students who want to learn more about US-China relations.

All majors are welcome, but students interested in Economics, International politics, and Sino-US relations are strongly encouraged to apply. The application for the 2023 Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund (CDAF) opens SOON.

 

CDAF is a grants competition that awards up to $10,000 to teams of U.S. government-sponsored exchange program alumni to design public service projects that make an impact. Project must relate to one of the following five themes for 2023: 

  • Strengthening Democratic Institutions & Fighting Disinformation

  • Protecting the Environment

  • Building Community Through Arts, Sports, Language, and Technology 

  • Human Rights, Refugees, Migrants

  • Fostering Alumni Network Development
